name:
Lily Faith Evans
nicknames:
Most people just call her Lily, there are not a lot of nicknames that can be created from this. Others do call her Lil and Lills as affectionate gestures and few call her Evans. There are those people that call her Red and Mud-blood but she usually never responds to those names.

January 30, 1960

hair:
Lily Evans is known mainly for her hair and other features. Her hair is a very dark red and can be easily spotted anywhere at Hogwarts. It's also very thick and very hard to manage, sometimes it can take a lot of effort to just run a brush through it. The main reason this is, is because how thick is it. She often just tosses it in a ponytail or any other type of up-do just so she doesn't have to go through the hassle of making it look decent. In the morning it sometimes looks like a giant puff ball sitting on top of her head and can easily frustrate her.
eyes:
The other thing Lily Evans is known for is her eyes. They are an almond shaped and layered with long, black lashes. The color is a brilliant green that can be very noticable from a distance, even if her hair is falling in her face. Most say this (or her hair) is her best feature and can often cause her to blush and just wave it away like it's nothing.
face:
Lily Evans has a very defined face, her skin gently sticks to her jaw with no excess fat. Her jaw is almost like it is shaped for her face and fits greatly, not to thick or narrow. To her dismay her cheekbones are not high or really noticable, they are basically hidden with the rest of her face. Perfectly arched eyebrows set above her wide eyes and in between those eyes is her nose.
build:
Lily is a rather slender girl and any excess weight that isn't skin or bone is normally muscle. She tries to keep herself in shape and tones so she doesn't get over weight and out of shape. Her legs are long and slender and she often looks like she doesn't have any muscle or fat at all, though her slightly circular shoulders can prove that she does have some. Some points on her body (i.e elbows, knees, shoulders) don't seem as bony as those who have no muscle at all so this can often prove she isn't under weight or anorexic like others try to say.
height:
Five feet and seven inches.
weight:
You should never ask a girl what her weight is ; D (Still figuring it out)
distinguishing features:
Aside from Lily's hair and eyes she doesn't have a lot of distinguishable features. Both of her ears are pierced once and she has no tattoos to set her apart from the rest. Sometimes people say her pale skin and freckles can be considered distinguishable but others say it's not.
clothing style:
Lily never really worries about what she wears or what type of clothes she has. Normally it will be an average pair of jeans or shorts matches with a regular top and slip ons or sneakers. It all normally depends on her mood and hows she is feeling. If she really wants to she could put on a nice outfit but never something too fancy. For dances or balls she does have a couple dresses stored away under her bed but she rarely remembers they are there.

strengths:
- Bossing people around;
Lily can easily tell people what to do and try to take charge of everyone.
- Screaming her head off;
it's something that also comes easily to her, it's not hard for her to raise her voice.
- Protecting her friends;
like she would do anything else. If they need protecting she will risk her life to do just that.
- Insulting someone;
she can probably insult everyone she comes in contact with, but that doesn't mean she always will.
weaknesses:
- Her parents;
if anyone insults them or threatens them she can easily lose her temper and she would do anything to protect them.
- Her sister;
she's touchy and can be easily upset because Petunia dislikes her.

she missed him but cannot easily forgive him for what he called her and all the things his friends do.
- Not backing down/giving in;
she will never give in or back down.
- Not letting something go;
she has a mind like an elephant and cannot forget what someone said or did.
mirror of erised:
In the mirror of erised Lily sees herself as a mature and accomplished woman while holding hands with James while he is holding a little child in his other hand. She wants to become very accomplished in life and do something to help create a better world.
fears:
- Dark, though Lily will try to hide it she is very afraid of the dark. Whether it's because he just seems so empty and lonely or because something might be lurking in the shadows she doesn't know. The thought of being alone in the dark just terrifies her.
- Spiders, spiders just creep Lily out. Their eight legs and all those eyes, the feeling of them crawling on your skin, yikes. And just seeing them dangle from a web, almost like they are flying through the air but slowly sinking lower and lower until they are right by your face. They just make Lily shiver.
- Pain, an obvious one of course. Almost everyone is afraid of pain but it's something that will happen in life. Lily knows she will experience pain, both physically and emotionally, but she still fears it. No matter how many times she goes through pain it still scares her to imagine it happening again and again.
boggart:
When faced with a boggart it takes the shape of her mother and father dead at the hand of Severus Snape. Even though they got into a huge fight Lily still, sort of, considers him as a friend and would not be able to live with herself if he betrayed her like that. She doesn't know what she would do, part of her would want to get revenge on him for taking her parents but the other half remembers how great of a friendship they had.
dementor:
Lily's worst memory was a time when she was sitting in the Great Hall. She was just sitting there, eating her breakfast and waiting for the morning post to arrive. When it did arrive she got her own copy of the Daily Prophet and she started reading. As she continued reading it talked about muggle deaths from her parent's neighborhood. She searched and searched but she couldn't find the names. Suddenly Dumbledore came over and told her to walk with him to his office. For a few minutes she was sure her parents were dead, she didn't even wait for the rest of the mail as she turned and followed Dumbledore.
She waited, sure he would tell her that her parents were killed. Instead he went on and on about something Lily didn't remember. Since he didn't seem to want to bring it up Lily did, she asked him point blank if it was her parents. At first he was a bit shocked, wondering why she was thinking that way, then he assured her that it wasn't her parents. He didn't say don't worry, it's not your parents, he just said simply to be happy it wasn't her parents. He didn't want her to not be worried when Voldermort was out there killing of anyone that got in his way.
When she is faced with a dementor she remembers those few seconds that she was sure her parents were dead and that just upsets her. She doesn't know what she would do without them.
patronus:
Lily's patronus is that of a beautiful doe. The memory was of her with her parents. The Hogwarts letter was gripped between her hands so tightly she didn't know if she could pry them away to give to her parents. She was worried, worried they wouldn't accept her once they found. She waited for what seemed like hours while both parents read and re-read the letter. At first she was sure they were mad or upset but then they took her in their arms and told her how proud they were. This was the greatest memory she could ever have and it's the one she picked.

personality:
Lily is a natural bossy person and she always has to be in control of everything around her. She can easily grow displeased when something is wrong and she always thinks she has to be the one to fix it. In her eyes she is always the person that should be in charge and she is just a natural born leader. She will do almost anything to get someone to do what she says (i.e scream, insult etc.) and this can often make her look like a complete idiot in front of everyone else. Honestly, who would think it's 'cool' to act like a immature know it all in front of a huge crowd? But no matter how much you try to tell her Lily will never listen or never change how she acts.
As well as being bossy Lily can be quiet stubborn and she doesn't give in to things easily. If she wants to act a certain way then she will act a certain way, no matter what everyone thinks of her. Other people's opinions don't matter and she will act like herself whether other people like it or not. She's not easily embarrassed and she hardly ever second guesses herself. If she thinks it's right or something she should do then she will do it, no matter what it is. This is the same for protecting someone else in need. Lily always tries to do the right thing and that does mean protecting someone that is being bullied. She doesn't care about the danger or anything of that sort, she'll step in between the people and put an end to it right there.
Being in Gryffindor means you are brave and that is something Lily is. She's a very brave person and can do almost anything if she sets her mind to it. That doesn't mean she doesn't have any fears, everyone has fears she just chooses to try and conquer them. She doesn't want her fears bringing her down and holding her back from doing anything. She always wants to do the right thing in life and not become corrupted or evil. The well being of other is normally put before her own and she faces any challenges that are brought her way. This can also mean she is a very caring person and can sometimes show a soft side to the ones she really cares about. Almost like she wants them to know she's not always so loud and annoying, even if she is. She wants them to know that she does care about them and wouldn't throw them away for anything.
The tiniest things can just made Lily's skin crawl and she pays attention to the finer details in life. Whether it's one tiny thing or one huge thing it can just make her mad. Sometimes she can overreact and will often yell or complain about something simple. It's not that she does it on purpose, usually, she just doesn't want things out of place. If she's in charge, which she thinks she always is, everything must be done right and everything must be neat. She can't stand it when things hardly go her way and if often shows with her attitude and expressions. She's also very determined and will do anything to make things go her way. No matter what is in her path she will push past it and do anything in her power to get or do something that she wants to do.
Once you get past Lily's rather rough exterior you realize she is a very motherly person. She'd do anything for her friends and take charge of anything going on. If you need a shoulder to cry on she'll always be by your side to talk you through anything that is happened. All you'd have to do is learn to brush off some harsh things she may say at times.

overall history:
Lily was the second child/daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Evans, she was also their last child. Being the youngest child also meant that most of her parents were turned to her and away from her older sister, Petunia. At first both girls were ok with this, Petunia really didn't mind that much. They grew up as a very close family and both girls spent all their time together; bonding. Both considered eachother as a sister and a best friend, so everything seemed alright. That was until Lily started doing 'weird' things in private, or at least she thought it was in private. One day, while her and Petunia were playing an odd little boy made himself known.
Petunia immediately dubbed him as weird but Lily was intrugued; she was a witch? After he told her that they had plenty secret meetings in which he would explain everything to Lily. She felt great, she was finding things out about herself that she didn't know but at the same time she was still close with Petunia. That was, until Petunia dropped from the tree and Severus declared she was spying. Lily couldn't believe it, her own sister was spying on her. But she also felt ashamed, Petunia had thought Lily was ignoring the boy when she wasn't. Feebly, Lily tried to explain herself but instead Petunia just sneered and insulted Lily. That was when the tree banch dropped on her and Lily got mad at Severus instead. She took her anger out on him before she ran after Petunia, hoping she was alright and hoping they would still be close.
It was an empty hope, Petunia was quite alright but she was mad at Lily and said she hated her. The secret meetings continued and Lily found out more and more about the world she had been missing. The day came that she got her letter and she wasn't surprised but she was rather nervous. Would her parents accept her? Would they think she was a weirdo and banish her from the house? She didn't know but she knew that if she wanted to go to Hogwarts she would have to give them the letter. That was exactly what she did and instead of getting furious or creeped out her parents were excited. Lily was pleased at that fact but she was a little upset that Petunia was still mad at her.
It took the tiny family a little while but they finally found Diagon Alley and that was where Lily got all the supplies she needed. Out of the corner of her eye she could see Petunia gawking at everything around her but everytime Lily turned to face her Petunia would act like she couldn't care less. They still had a very strained relationship and Lily wished it could have been closer then it really was. It stayed that way until Lily first went onto the train so she couldn't do anything about it. Lily tried to brush it off and went searching through the compartments until she found Severus. That was where they talked, bluntly ingoring and being ignored by the other two boys in the compartment. That was until Severus mentioned Slytherin and the two boys suddenly realized they were there.
Both of the boys quickly disgusted Lily and she developed a hatred towards them. Her and Severus went off to find a different compartment, without looking back. The rest of the train ride they spent talking and Lily was really looking forward to being placed in Slytherin. By the time they got to the school she was both excited and worried. What would happen? How would they get placed into houses? What if Severus and her were placed in different houses? She didn't know what she would do but she quickly had to find out. Once the hat was placed on top her head it shouted out 'Gryffindor' and she walked to one end of the Great Hall where she waited to see where Severus would be placed. 'Slytherin' she frowned and watched him walk to the other end of the hall before giving him a tiny wave.
Her second year of school wasn't much different from the first. She tried to spend as much time with Severus as she could and tried to avoid the tiny group of pranksters that was, unfortunately, in the house she was placed in. James, Sirius, Peter and Remus; she really couldn't believe the two idiots from the compartment had been able to make friends. She was sure they wouldn't be able to make friends with anyone and would automatically be hated for their attitude. It had the opposite effect, through the years they became more and more popular. After a while they called themselves the 'Marauders' and gave each other silly nicknames. Lily was completely flabbergasted, didn't people worry about personality at all?
She started taking the responsibility of defending Severus whenever the Marauders decided to mess with him. It started to happen frequently and she easily grew aggravated with them. Why couldn't they just leave him alone? It's not like he did anything to them. It honestly was a mystery to her why they always insisted on messing with him and everyone else. Bullies, that's what she classified them as and it turned out one of them might like her. Or at least that's what she heard. James Potter, one of the creeps from the compartment liked her; it couldn't make her more sick. At first she just brushed it off as a rumor until he started doing a bunch of things to make her go out with him. It even sickened her worse when he started to stoop so low as bribing, couldn't he get a hint? She had to give him credit though, she hadn't seen that type of dedication in her life. But she still didn't like it.
In came fifth year, one of her most stressful years. O.W.Ls were on their way and she could hardly spend any time with Severus at all. That was why she couldn't wait until O.W.Ls were over, she'd be able to have a break and be able to spend time with her best friend. Which was why after the O.W.Ls she waited by the lake with a group of girls. He hadn't come out yet so she decided she might as well talk with her other friends and see how they felt. That's when she heard them messing with Severus, again. Her immediate instict was she scream at them, that's exactly what they did. She stormed up the hill, pushing past a crowd of people that formed, and demanded they put him down. Once again James tried to bribe her and once again she denied.
When words didn't help bring him down she whipped out her wand and tried to force them to. It seemed to work and they were going to let him go, until he insulted Lily. Mud blood the word stuck in Lily's brain and she couldn't believe it. Instead of taking it she insulted Severus for the first time before shouting at James. With that she turned on her heel and walked away, her only thought escape. Later that day she heard Severus was outside the portrait hole and she decided to see what she wanted, only because he said he'd sleep there. He tried to apologize but she wouldn't accept it. Him and his friends called every other muggle born a mud blood so how was she any different? By the end of the year she was still mad at him and ignored him all summer.
Seventh year rolled around and after a summer of fighting herself she finally came to the conclusion she really did like James Potter. As much as she couldn't believe it that didn't stop her from saying yes to him the time he asked her out.

A girl sat at the far end of the Gryffindor table, her dark red hair thrown up in a messy ponytail so her almond shaped, emerald green eyes would be free to peer at the mass amount of books in front of her. Oh how she loathed the fact that O.W.Ls were happening this year on top of a lot of coarse work. After a second of staring she flipped open the top book titled 'The Inner Eye' which was supposedly able to help her with Divination. She didn't really believe that, she didn't have the 'inner eye' as her teacher always said. Sometimes what she predicted would come true and other times it was just a bunch of fooey. It was really starting to tick her off, normally she would be happy to do homework and learn something fast but everything was different with Divination.
Her finger ran across the page, as did her eyes, while she read. Another second went by and she flipped the page, her mind a jumble of words. How was she supposed to remember all this for the O.W.Ls that would be happening tomorrow. Her stomach gave a growl but she continued to ignore the food at the table, the food everyone else was eating. Was she the only one that was worried about the tests tomorrow? Her eyes slid up the table to see what everyone else was doing. Remus Lupin seemed to be reading and studying, just like she was, but the rest of the Marauders were up to their usual antics. Sirius was messing with little first years while James was playing with his little snitch. Peter was watching both boys with a cheerful smile on his face, almost like he was a kid in a candy shop.
Molly and Athur were talking, Lily always considered them to be a cute couple. As she continued to watch the familiar faces she realized what she was doing. She was procrastinating, trying hard not to read the words on her page. Shaking her head she returned her attention to the book, trying to memorize the words on the page. As soon as she read it she would forget what she had just read. Once she read the same sentence ten times she gave up and slammed the book closed rather loudly. Why did she have to be such a bunch of nerves? Everything would be alright and after the O.W.Ls she could chat with Severus and see if he was confident in his own answers. She looked up at Dumbledore and he raised his glass to her, as if toasting to her insanity that was on it's way. Why did the man always have to be so cheerful and pleased? Couldn't he tell she was about to rip her hair out of her head?
Once hand reached up to scratch the top of her head before it dropped back to the table. Her stomach gave another growl and she pushed all the books away so she had room for her plate. Sausage, toast, eggs; she piled food onto her plate before taking a bite. The minute food hit her stomach she almost felt better and she continued to eat until she was full. Once finished she took a gulp of her pumpkin juice, helping her dry throat. Once she was completely filled up she let a smile slide onto her face. It seemed like she felt completely better and she returned her books to their rightful place. With a deep sigh she opened her Divination book and continued to read. It was almost like she was able to function better with a full stomach.
Those muggle commercials were right, breakfast really does help you do better in school. She was able to concentrate and remember what she read after she read it.
